BLACK ARTS BREWERS & BLENDERS
Jbb are excited to present this rare opportunity for a turnkey and well-established brewery in a high demand market. Black Arts Brewers & Blenders is perfectly suited to either a large hospitality group looking to expand or a novice brewer/beer buff looking to get into the industry as full training and comprehensive handover period will be provided, so no prior brewing experience is necessary.
Black Arts Brewers & Blenders are arguably one of the most well recognised micro-brewers in the West. With its trademark branding Black Arts are a professional family run business and a must visit for all beer, cider and spirit enthusiasts. Their beers are brewed onsite then aged at the Williamstown location in a mixture of repurposed oak barrels including 225 litre barrels, 300 litre hogsheads, and 500 litre puncheons. The product range includes sour IPA’s, Barrel–Aged Farmhouse Ales and small batch flavoured gins. All of the brewing/distillery equipment used to age the brews are of commercial quality, ensuring that every batch is of excellent quality and taste.
The brewery is well positioned on Macaulay Street in a busy industrial pocket of Williamstown only 14km from the CBD plus the business is easy to access from the two major freeways nearby – Princes & West Gate. The brewery is surrounded by many industrial and commercial businesses with great demographics in the area, meaning there is always has a huge amount of passing traffic both by foot and road, giving Black Arts huge daily exposure to potential new customers.
The business is set in a large industrial style warehouse and has a really cool and relaxed vibe with a large communal table in the cellar door area and the brewery is lined with aged barrels along the walls added to the cosy brewery atmosphere. The rent for the business is excellent at only $20,000pa, which help to keep the fixed costs of the business low and the profit margins high. The brewery runs under a Producer’s and Excise/Manufacturing liquor licence giving the business a lot of versatility and a competitive advantage.
Since opening in 2019, Black Arts have made a strong name for themselves in the Victorian marketplace through their unique product range and great word of mouth from happy customers. The cellar door which is open every Saturday from 2pm – 6pm has grown rapidly over the past 6 months and now has a significant turnover and showing good profit margins. The brewery has only just scratched the surface with its revenue as the venue has the potential to easily double its sales over the next 12 months with the right operator.
